The first division of our company pertains to energy efficiency. The
Energy Efficiency Division of our company offers the greatest immediate
and future savings for our clients. In many cases clients recognize
a 30% reduction in energy costs through our program.
One of our consultants
will personally examine various components of a building and collect pertinent
information, including any available energy data and drawings. This
information will be assessed by our team of engineers to devise the best
strategy that best fits the building. Clients typically see a return
on investment 2-5 years after implementing proven Detroit Green Technology
strategies.
The general components that are assessed include but are not limited to:
HVAC Components -A comprehensive overview is done to be sure systems are operating at maximum efficiency. A detailed audit will be provided that will demonstrate the efficiency of the HVAC systems on the property and any suggestions to improve that efficiency.
Control Systems - An evaluation of the control systems in the building will be done to see if they are working efficiently or need updating. Changes will be recommended to these systems based on the potential energy savings available.
Lighting and Electrical -Lighting systems will be evaluated to be sure the most up to date energy saving technology is in place. A lumen test will also be conducted to be sure buildings are operating at peak efficiency.
Insulation- If needed, an infra red sensing test will be conducted to determine any air leaks that could be increasing energy costs.
Roof- An audit of the roof may be done to be sure it possess’ the most up to date reflective qualities available.
Water Usage -Water consumption will be evaluated to determine any inefficiencies within the system. Suggestions will be provided on how to minimize use without a change in lifestyle.
